Why I want to coach in triathlon:

Triathlon is such an interesting sport and if I can help people fall in love with the sport in the same way I have, then I will be a very happy girl. Helping others achieve and find a sense of self belief is a very rewarding thing and I would love to be a part of someone’s journey. Triathlon is not all about winning. People do it for so many different reasons from couch to 5km to national champion into Olympic champion. The variety is what keeps it fresh and exciting and encapsulates exactly why I love the sport.

Interesting fact:

I currently hold a level 1 coaching qualification in Tschoukball and I can play 7 different instruments.

Richard Horton

Competed at national level as a junior in running and then road cycling before combining to find duathlon and then triathlon. Passion for understanding the human body’s adaptation to exercise drives Rich to be proactive about staying informed on new training approaches to ensure that he and his athletes can maximize their training and racing performance.

Being in the sport from age 8, competing from tri-start to representing GB at European elite cup level, I feel I’m at the right time to pass my knowledge on to other up and coming athletes. Triathlon over the recent years has grown monumentally as a sport, I am very keen to help in its growth through coaching all abilities and experience to achieve their goals and aspirations in triathlon.
